Nasi Padang of Indonesia

The Nasi Padang is a variety of different dishes served with rice. It originates from Padang, Indonesia, where the major of people are farmers. They get up early in the morning cook their meals to last them until the afternoon. So most of the dishes are cooked dry. The gravy contains coconut oil instead of coconut milk, which spoils easily. Spicy dishes, with generous amount of chillies and spices.
